Overview

This half-day training focusses on supporting women’s wellbeing. We explore some of the health issues most experienced by women and offer frontline health and social care staff the opportunity to improve their confidence and skills in offering effective and compassionate care.

Course content

The number of women experiencing mental ill health has increased, with young women more likely to experience mental distress than their male peers.

By the end of the session, participants should be able to:

  2. Outline the physical and social variables that can impact women’s physical and mental well-being.
  3. Describe how you can begin to work in a Trauma-Informed way.
  4. Plan how to improve your practice so that you can offer compassionate and informed care.
